25 Baby Brands to Know and Love

By michellehorton |

Although I love highlighting the new baby products soon to hit the market (here, here, and here), there are a ton of overall baby brands out there that every mom should know — but many don’t.

It’s not your fault, of course. The industry is bursting with so many different, and similar, companies that it’s hard to sift through them all in the length of a pregnancy. So to help you out, I compiled 25 of my favorite baby brands to have on your radar.

Some are affordable and some, well, aren’t. But I think it’s always good to know the “best of the best,” just in case you run into them at a garage sale, your best friend’s attic, or on a site like Craigslist. It’s also useful info. for your baby registry.

Knowledge is (buying) power.

Nosefrida

The concept of the Nosefrida "snot sucker" may sound gross (although it's completely sanitary), yet it will change your life.

I was initially inspired by this Strollertraffic post about their favorite baby brands, which you should check out for even more “brands that rock,” as they put it.

These are, by no means, the only great baby brands out there. I know that as soon as I hit the “publish” button, I’ll remember 5 more brands that I just needed to include. So share your favorites! Tell me what I forgot (while I forehead slap myself at my glaring oversight)! Spill it!

What about JJ Cole? Love that brand! They should definitely be in your top 25.

JJ Cole is a good brand! :) I tried to stick with lesser-known brands for newbie moms. I feel like JJ Cole is splashed all over Babies R Us — although that’s not a bad thing! :)

  2. Melanie says:

What about Tivoli Couture? They make the most practical stroller and car seat accessories!

  3. Mother Lydia says:

I think Skip Hop is better known than JJ cole. Its at Target after all!

  4. Robin says:

the Nosefrida is hands down the BEST baby product I ever purchased, my son was born with large adenoids/tonsils and was constantly full of snot until he got them removed at age 2. This product was a life saver – literally! The whole gross thinking goes straight out the window when your baby can’t breath and this is the only thing that WORKS!

  5. Cindy W says:

I’d take my Bravado nursing tanks over my Glamourmom ones any day. They’re more supportive and more comfortable!

  6. Urs says:

About once a year the original nook pebble will show up for about 30% off on the vendor site and also gilt. The latex core is incredible, it’s so springy and supportive. And the wool outer is totally moisture repellant. I also have some crappy cheap “organic” dual sided mattress from I think davinci… Thing is hard as a rock, smelled gross out of the box and shows all the wet stains unless I use our naturopathic wool pad. My kids both prefer the nook, wish I had one for each of them. The biggest infant purchase IMHO should be the mattress.

  7. Chrissy says:

My DS sleeps on a Nook. Loooooves it. He seems comfy, is firm. BUT sheets are a bit hard to fit on. They’re a tad tight. Nook also has sleepsacks and a playmat (we don’t have those) that look really cute and chic.

    1. michellehorton says:

@Chrissy – Yes, true, I have some issues with sheets too. It’s not TOO bad (it still works), but the mattress is slightly bigger than others. That’s probably why they make their own sheets.

  8. Chelsea says:

Undercover Mama – LOVE. A strapless camisole/tank thing that attaches to your nursing bra. I had better luck w/ these because as a big-boobed lady, nursing tanks didn’t work that well for me.

  9. Karen M says:

keep an eye on zulily.com for most of these products… i’ve seen them on there over the last year or so and you can save 30% or more off of retail prices!! (no, i don’t work for zulily, but i’m a HUGE FAN!!) =)

  10. Sue says:

    Infantino!

  11. Sara M (Whippersnapsbaby.com) says:

This is a great article for new moms! I wish someone had told me about new brands when I first started having children. I went with brands I knew to play it safe. However, I have always used California Baby for my sunscreen needs, I will have to try Badger now. Also, Britax is by far the best car/booster seat out there. They have more foam than any others that I have seen. My chiro highly recommends them if you travel a lot. Again, thanks for sharing!
