We all know that nutrition is really, really, super important during pregnancy. You have to make sure to eat the right things and not eat the wrong things to optimize your unborn baby’s chances for discovering cold fusion or writing a number 1 pop hit or winning the Tour de France. And if you eat the wrong things? Well, you can expect to raise a future ditch-digger or Bachelorette contestant.

I’ve taken the liberty of using my vast knowledge of pregnancy nutrition combined with my assortment of pregnancy cravings to assemble this list of foods you really should be eating while pregnant. Please keep in mind that I am not actually a doctor or nutritionist; I’m a pregnant lady who will soon need to run to the grocery store to replenish her Little Debbie supplies.

Funny Food Recommendations for Pregnancy


We all know that fresh fruit is full of those critical vitamins and anti-oxidants that are good for health all the time and especially during pregnancy. Plus it’s an awesome source of fiber. So chow down on the fruit ladies! My favorite fruit is Cherry Garcia.

    This is silly but not even really accurate with its silliness. How do you associate onions with healthy fats, or butter with calcium? Wish I would have skipped this one :/
