A Creative Maternity Photo Shoot

Generally I’m kind of a maternity photo hater.

I mean…how many ways can you possibly shoot a pregnant belly?  The photos of choice seem to be 1. naked belly swathed in billowy fabric or, 2. hands placed in the shape of a heart around the protruding belly button…ummmm…no thanks.

Maybe I won’t be such a hater once my baby bump is actually showing and I’ll be all proud of it and want to have my belly photographed for nostalgic purposes, but I’m a little skeptical.  IF I were to change my mind about getting maternity photos taken though, I would want a shoot that was fun and different like this creative “Bun in the Oven” shoot – conceptualized and styled by the talented Jenn Elliott Blake of Bow Tie and Bustle and shot by Monica of Mo Hines Photography.

I sort of can’t get over the cuteness…

it was nice but not extraordinary. Not something I would try.

  3. Lisa says:

Cute but kinda freaky that she is then eating the “baby” at the end. But cute cocept for sure!

it looks dumb and tacky. i would never waste money on a silly shoot. instead maybe on a better well thought out photo shoot focusing on me and my spouse and the baby bump…
