The British journal Adoption and Fostering will be published by SAGE starting in 2013.
The British Association for Adoption & Fostering (BAAF) publishes this work quarterly and it is the leading source on adoption and fostering research, information, and debate in the UK. SAGE is a leading publisher of social sciences.
Adoption and Fostering is the only UK journal to take on adoption and fostering issues, while the social workers, medical personnel, lawyers, psychologists, and others that come in contact with adopted/fostered children and have a part of their their well being – emotional and physical – are provided a forum for discussion. It will be published on the SAGE Journals platform.
SAGE will be able to expand the reach of the journal and the discussion that comes with it worldwide when it publishes in 2013. This means that far more eyes will see the respected Adoption and Fostering, and more will get to join in on the conversation and improvement of adoption/foster care than ever before.
In partnering in this endeavor, both BAAF and SAGE aim to improve the lives of children across the globe who are unable to stay with their birth families.
