We had our weekly visit/check-up with our midwife today and went over our Birth Preferences.
We discussed protocol surrounding possible complications, which one needs to know about – no matter how unpleasant and heart-stopping any of it is to think about actually happening.
At 38 weeks and 3 days, this evening found me consumed with thoughts of birthing, water-birthing and staying positive, especially after today’s check-in.
Imagery is a huge source of inspiration for me, as an artist with a mind that at times, can’t seem to center without it. When talking fails to calm the spirit, art – in it’s vast forms of vivid story-telling, does the trick for me.
