Being Politically Correct with a Shower Registry?Danielle
Making a baby registry for this baby has been one of the most difficult things I have ever done. There is so much you have to take into consideration, especially when you had your first baby shower a little over three years ago.
I am sure most of you know the back story… we were done having children, and gave away most things minus clothes, well things that actually were still useful after the wear of two boys.
My sister decided since this is the first baby girl in our family since I was born, that I needed a shower. Something small, but fun with friends and family. I have been hesitant because I am not one that likes being the center of attention, especially in a party situation like that, but I went along with it… plus, who doesn’t need an excuse for good cake?
So I made a registry after I was harassed to do so, and then I got crap from a ton of people that there wasn’t enough stuff on it… Really? I put too little? Come on!
I mean, while I don’t have a ton left over from the boys, I already bought a lot of stuff myself. I learned from my oldest son that some of those must have registry items really aren’t must haves and some never even get used, and I didn’t want that to happen this time around.
Blankets, towels, swaddles, boppy covers, and some odds and ends… I mean, we don’t need much more right?
