Car Seat Recall: 800,000 Seats Recalled Today

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) issued a massive recall of Dorel Juvenile Group car seats today. Nearly 800,000 models of car seats made between May 2008 and April 2009 have been recalled.

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration says the issue relates to the harness’ locking and release button. It does not always return to its locked position. This could result in a loose harness, which could increase the risk of injuries in the event of a car crash.

The recall affects the following models:

Alpha omega

Alpha omega elite

Enspira

Priori

Prospect

Vantage

Mico

OnBoard

If you have one of these car seats or any questions, contact Dorel at 1-866-623-3139.
