In what can seriously only be called a miracle, a mother recently came back to life after being pronounced dead – and delivery her baby via a c-section.
What’s wilder: It’s not the first time this has happened.
When I came across the story the other day on What to Expect, I was stunned. A 36-year-old pregnant woman was admitted to the hospital because of a severe blood pressure condition. She had a heart attack – and was pronounced dead. Because she was 9 month pregnant, her doctors rushed to delivery her still-alive baby via a c-section – and did so successfully without any anesthesia.
After the delivery, doctors amazingly tried to revive the woman one last time. And it worked. The woman began breathing again.
The 6 pound, 8 ounce baby boy is healthy, and the mother is recovering.
Sounds like a totally random – and blessed! – event, right? Well, it happened to another woman earlier this year.
According to the local news source Click 2 Houston, a 32-year-old Houston teacher also delivered her baby via c-section when she had no heartbeat – what’s known as a postmortem delivery.
