Easing Pregnancy Heartburn

It is no secret that one of the most uncomfortable things during pregnancy is heartburn. With both of my children it was hellish until my angel midwife gave me an all natural remedy to help ease the burn. Although I never thought it would work I went out to my local Whole Foods, and picked up a large bag of Raw Almonds.

No salt, no sugar, nothing. Just simple, almonds in their most natural form. And every time I would start to feel the fire from hell coming up through my chest, I would reach for a small hand full of raw almonds, chew them up into an almost paste like substance in my mouth, and then swallow. While it doesn’t sound as enjoyable as just snacking on a hand full of almonds, that was exactly what I was instructed to do my the midwife.

To my surprise, it WORKED!!!  My heartburn was gone within minutes, and was cured for a couple hours at the least. I was beyond excited. And every where I went from that point on in pregnancy, those almonds came with me.  I had been through kidney stones caused by overdosing on tums with my first son, and this was all natural, and worked so much better!

So if heartburn is bothering you, I am telling you. Go to your local Whole Foods, or Trader Joes, or all natural food market, and get you some raw almonds!  They will be your savior.
