Some people turn to the bible, some turn to baby name books, and well some people turn to Facebook to name their kid!
Lior and Vardit Adler, from Hod Hasharon, a town north-east of Tel Aviv wanted to name their baby girl something unique and original. And since Like had a nice, international ring to it as well as Facebook being an icon for today’s generation, the baby girl was named Like.
“To me it is important to give my children names that are not used anywhere else, at least not in Israel,” the father told the German Press Agency dpa on Monday.
The couple’s first two kids have unique names to, Dvash and Pie.
“If once people gave Biblical names and that was the icon, then today this is one of the most famous icons in the world,” the baby’s father said, joking that the name could be seen as a modern version of the traditional Jewish name Ahuva, which means “beloved.”
