As you are reading this I am flying way high up in the sky, on my first airplane trip in almost two years! My awesome company is taking me to Dallas, TX today to go to Blissdom and I really couldn’t be more excited. But the whole flying-to-get-there part is leaving me a bit tense. There is something about being crammed in a small aircraft as a big, pregnant lady that makes me slightly uneasy.
So I went hunting for tips on how to prepare for my flight so I can be more comfortable and found them right here on Babble. So let’s run through the checklist of things I am doing to get prepared:
I’m already on a serious blood thinner prescription and as long as I walk around periodically during the flight then I shouldn’t have to worry about blood clots.
I chose the aisle seat, so I can easily get up to, stretch, walk, and go pee 100 times during the flight.
I am packing fruit and will try to buy a bagel to take on the flight so I don’t get too crazy hungry.
The hydration thing is hard since you can’t bring a full water bottle through security anymore. But I will still bring my giant bottle empty and fill it up on the other side of security in an attempt to stay hydrated.
I also treated myself to some good in-flight reading.
