As you know, I really want to be pregnant. After a year of baby fever, and now 9 months of trying to conceive, I am so ready for this to happen. I loved being pregnant before and actually look forward to experiencing nearly everything all over again. (Although I’m hoping to avoid the kidney stones this time, which likely won’t happen.)
I surprised myself when I realized that I’m even looking forward to the “big day” when I go into labor and welcome a new person into the world. I have had pretty decent labors despite needing early inductions, and though I miss the anticipation of when labor will start, the whole process is still pretty cool for me.
I have been hearing a lot more about glamorous births, like the celebrities have. I get that there is a desire to make things as comfortable as possible when you’re going to be doing so much work in pain. I will admit the whole idea appeals to me and one thing that I am going to have on hand for my next birth is a gorgeous maternity hospital gown.
No more will I wear those ugly one-sized fits all gowns. They just make me feel ick. I came across some amazingly gorgeous maternity gowns for labor and birth on Etsy and am not sure which one I will pick, but I have a feeling I will be sporting one of them for the first moments of life snapshots.
