Groundhog Day 2011steveecurtis
I seriously feel like I am living the movie Groundhog Day. Every day seems the same! I get up feeling exhausted, feed my daughter breakfast, watch Sesame Street, write, put daughter down for nap, shower (if I’m lucky), write, lunch, play inside ALL DAY (too freakin’ cold to go out), watch Yo Gabba Gabba, dinner, bath, bed, write. I’m not depressed… just pregnant and stir crazy.
This winter has done a number on my psyche. Being pregnant, cold temperatures, cloudy days, and snow are not a good combination. I hate putting on mounds of clothes just to stay warm. I hate that it gets dark so early, and I hate not being able to go out for walks.
So… Dear Mr. Punxsutawney Phil, please don’t see your shadow tomorrow. I’m begging you! I can not take 6 more weeks of winter! I need some spring in my life ASAP!
Groundhog day is when Punxsutawney Phil decides whether we’ll be in our down jackets in a couple months or sporting spring capris, and it’s this coming Wednesday February 2nd. Here’s a fun and delicious craft to do with your kids while you’re waiting for the big announcement about whether winter will end soon.
