The Perfect Alternative To High Heels During Pregnancy

EXHIBIT A: Rocking my wedge booties at 6 months pregnant.

At a certain point in pregnancy I realize that heels will no longer be an option.  Swollen feel will most likely necessitate the wearing of something that laces up so I can loosen it to give my feet room to breathe.  I try not to think too much about this happening, because the thought of swollen feet is less than appealing, but I know it’s probably going to be an inevitability.

So, what’s a girl with strong German calves to do to flatter her gams in a dress if heels are out of the question?  Well, I’ve realized the perfect solution:  lace-up wedge booties!  (See EXHIBIT A: Me wearing my new lace-up booties at 25 weeks pregnant – see more outfits of my 25 week bump and outfit over at my blog here)

Lace-up wedge booties are the perfect heel alternative during pregnancy.  The laces can accommodate swollen feet and the wedge provides stability while offering the leg-lengthening benefits of a heel.  Could this get any better?  I think not, which is why I’ve rounded up a few of my favorites for you.
