I Mean, What Do You Do With The Belly Cast?

What Do You Do With The Belly CastI have been day-dreaming about being pregnant again for nearly a year now. We have been actively trying to get pregnant for about 6 months and the day-dreaming hasn’t stopped.

It will be the last baby for us and with that I will close a chapter on this part of life that I just love! I love being pregnant, I love watching my body grow and change and feeling the baby move. I am seriously going to have a hard time closing the door on more (I would totally have like 8 kids if it was favorable to my husband and kids).

Since this will be the last one, I have been going over an imaginary check-list in my head of things I have to do. I want to make sure I soak in all the kicks and growing pains. I want to get the baby’s heartbeat audio as we have with our other kids, I want to take cute weekly belly photos for the scrapbook I make for the kids and I have been debating getting a belly cast done. I’ll be honest though, I am kind of on the fence about it.

There are some crazy creative and amazing artists out there and with the new age of Pinterest and photo-sharing sites, ideas are rampant for cute ways to decorate them. I understand the want to document this amazing time in your life — a pregnant belly is gorgeous and there will be a time where you will want to look back at how big you were.

But, I wonder what do you do with the cast? Do you hang it up in the nursery? I would be deathly afraid of breaking it & what do you do with it when the kid is too old for a ‘nursery’?

I want to know your thoughts — did you (or will you) get a belly cast done? What did you do with it or what plans do you have for it?
