May 21st Doomsday: Unhappy Birthday?Monica Bielanko
I don’t put much stock in all this end of the world chatter, although I will say I find it highly suspicious that Oprah is ending her 25 year run the same week as the end of the world.
In my humble opinion, May 21st 2011 will come and go with nary an apocalypse and then I can tell you I told you so.
But what if your little one decides to make a “doomsday” entrance?
I’ve read a lot about kids born on 9/11 who aren’t exactly thrilled with the birth date. But that was an actual bad thing that happened. This May 21st doomsday malarkey is just that; malarkey. So I actually think being born on what was predicted to be the last day of the world would be awesome.
So exactly how will the end of the world go down? According to beliefs, “God will destroy the world through an earthquake, which will start in New Zealand at 6am on May 21 and from there the earthquake will follow the Sun and go from nation to nation.”
Yikes. Tough time to be in labor, no?
While most people believe the world will not end on May 21st 2011 or October 21st 2011 or December 21st, 2012, there are still many people who believe this will happen. Are you one of those people? Are you pregnant? I’m curious, does anyone out there actually have an estimated due date of May 21st? How’re you feeling about that? Are you superstitious or do you think it’d be as cool as I do?
