Much like my other labors and deliveries, this one was very easy and uneventful. I arrived at the hospital on Monday afternoon after visiting my doctor and having her tell me that I was in the early stages of labor. Just four hours (and three pushes) later our son was born, weighing 7 pounds and 9 ounces, over a pound more than his sisters weighed at birth.
I know many of you followed us on our journey of finding the perfect nickname for our son. After seeing him, my husband and I decided on calling him “Macks.” It just felt right for both of us and I really think that it suits him well.
The girls could not be more overjoyed to have a new little brother to look after. They are loving on him every second that they can get and have made this transition so easy for us. Now that we are settled in back at home, we are trying to adjust as a family of five. I am getting a quick refresh on what it’s like to be up at all hours of the night (funny how it quickly comes back to you once you go through it again.)
Macks is the perfect completion to our family. He loves to be held nearly all the time, and I am completely taking advantage of every second of it.
Welcome to the world sweet Macks.
