My Simple DIY Baby Showercharmedvalerie
The day before my 37th week of pregnancy, I had the honor of being showered by friends and family. Being that this is will be my second son in four years, I opted for a simple diaper shower and my mom planned and executed it perfectly.
All of the decorations and favors were homemade thanks to a little online inspiration. Check out the party details after the jump.
Theme based on FREE printable invite. 1 of 4This invite was not only fully customizable but it was also FREE via On To Baby. I love the simplicity and style.
Shower banner and decor. 2 of 4My mom created this simple banner and added balloons for a more festive feel.
Diaper cake and yummy cake. 3 of 4The white cake with raspberry filling and buttercream frosting was from a local bakery while the diaper cake was made by my crafty mother. I love how I don't have to totally disassemble it all at once because each diaper slides out individually.
Shower favors. 4 of 4My mom also make these favors that were as tasty as they are cute. The printable tag was part of the same printable collection as the invite, just fancied up a bit.
We now have all of the diapers (disposable and cloth), wipes, blankets, clothes. and gadgets that we’ll need for #2 and I could not be more thrilled. Thanks everyone and special thanks to my amazing mother for hosting the shindig!
