New Post from Liz Lange! Get the Look: Rebecca Gayheart's Maternity Stylestrollerderby
Actress Rebecca Gayheart, who is pregnant for the second time, clearly knows a thing or two about how to look comfortable and stylish while expecting. Here she is looking chic from head to toe with one of the best accessories of all, her adorable daughter, Billie Beatrice.
Get the look! (After the jump.)
Top: Stripes are so in right now and wearing them in a neutral palette like gray or navy is a great way to experiment with the trend. The wide-stripes on this Merona sweater are super flattering. Plus, the side-rouching allows for some give as you grow month-by-month.
Bottom: When it comes to maternity jeans, opt for a dark, solid wash for a flattering, pulled-together look like this denim pair in my collection for Target.
Sunglasses: As I always say, the best way to jazz up an outfit is to accessorize, accessorize, accessorize. Purses, hats, jewelry, hats and sunglasses go with every outfit and can be worn before, during and after your pregnancy. If you like Rebecca’s fedora, grab this similar one from Barneys.
Shoes: Keep the shoe feminine, nothing chunky. I love flats like the ones Rebecca is wearing for daytime errands. What a fun pop of color! Try the J. Crew Cece Suede Ballet Flats.
By dipping herself into neutral colors like black, gray and white, Rebecca created a slimming look while accentuating her pregnant figure. To complement her casual style, she added statement accessories that pulled the entire outfit together. I love that Rebecca is following one of my biggest pieces of advice, avoid boxy silhouettes and keep everything fitted. If you’ve got it, flaunt it!
