Oral Health for Your Baby Plus MAM Giveaway!
Something I didn’t realize with my first baby is how important oral health is even for infants. I thought that you didn’t need to worry about until after their teeth broke through. Turns out – that’s not entirely accurate!
According to Eileen Olderog-Hermiston, dental hygenist, in a Q&A with MAM this is a common belief. She says:
“I think one of the biggest misconceptions out there is that oral care starts after the eruption of baby’s first tooth. Proper oral care begins at birth. The American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry (AAPD) recommends gently cleaning baby’s gum with a soft cloth and water.”
The Training Brush is perfect for first teeth in tiny mouths.
What I learned from MAM is that even from birth I should be cleaning the gums of my baby on a daily basis. Once a tooth appears – usually around a year old for my kiddos although most baby’s get their teeth sooner – a twice-daily brushing is needed. Most children’s toothbrushes you see in the big box stores aren’t designed for little mouths. MAM has a soft bristled brush that is specifically designed for small baby mouths.
When it comes to the other dreaded aspect of babies and teeth – teething – MAM has something to say about that also.
The Cooler Teether is one of my favorites. My son loved his.

Personally I love the MAM cooler teether (I hadn’t had a chance to try them all yet!) because it has a variety of textures and is cool to soothe the baby’s gums and help numb them a little.

I love the Oral Care Rabbit…easy, cute, and looks entertaining for a baby
The oral care rabbit is SO much cuter than the raggedy washcloths I use to clean my baby’s mouth. The MAM soft pacifiers are also the only ones that my little girl will play with (not actually use as a pacifier, but hold, chew the sides, and throw).
I love the oral care rabbit. So cute and very easily designated ONLY for baby’s teeth and gums. Better than a wash cloth that could get mixed in with the regular rotation of wash cloths for daily cleaning of other body parts. Ew! I used one of the rubbery fingertip things for my oldest child’s gums and teeth when he was younger but that was not CUTE!!! And anything cute for baby is a big plus

I love the MAM pacifiers because they are all so cute and it’s the only brand my babies will take. I also love all of their oral care products. I have used them since my first son was born and he loves to brush his teeth now.
