Pre-Baby "Bucket List": 10 Things I'll do Before the Baby Arrives

I’ve slowly started to realize that my life is quickly going to change when baby girl number two arrives. Having Harlan has been the best thing in my life and I cannot wait to share that love with another daughter.  With time passing before my eyes and the holidays quickly approaching, I know that I really won’t have much longer to spend as a family a three before we become a family of four.

Before our lives get completely turned upside down for the second time, I’ve created a list of 10 things that I’ll do before baby number two arrives.  I’m calling it my Pre-baby “Bucket List.”

My daughter loves tea parties. We've had informal ones in our living room, but I'd love to spend a day dressed up and have a real tea party. Image via Pinterest
  • Stay Up Late and Sleep In For No Reason 2 of 10
Stay Up Late and Sleep In For No Reason
I know I'll have to stay up late when the baby arrives, but sleeping in won't be an option. I'd love to have one night where I'm able to stay up late doing anything I desire only to sleep in until I want to in the morning.
  • Go On a Vacation Solo 3 of 10
    Go On a Vacation Solo
There aren't very many moments where I just get by myself, let alone a whole weekend alone. I'd love to spend an entire weekend alone, focusing on me and my needs.
  • Have a Babymoon With My Husband 4 of 10

My husband and I did a babymoon when I was pregnant with Harlan. I'd love to take one again so we can have time for ourselves alone.
  • Spend All Day at the Movies 5 of 10
Spend All Day at the Movies
Having a toddler around doesn't make it easy to frequent the movies very often. Having two will only make it even harder. I want to spend a day at the movies seeing chick-flicks, comedies, or anything that I want (no kids movies allowed!)
  • Have a Prenatal Spa Day 6 of 10
    Have a Prenatal Spa Day
I've mentioned before that this pregnancy has been tougher on my body than before. I need a full day of pampering to ease some of this pregnancy pain.
  • De-clutter My Apartment 7 of 10

Living in NYC in a small apartment means things accumulate and clutter quickly. I'd like to make as much room as possible before the baby is born.
  • Take a Prenatal Yoga Class 8 of 10
    Take a Prenatal Yoga Class
I took a prenatal yoga class with Harlan and haven't had the chance to do it yet with this pregnancy. It made me feel so relaxed and helped me prepare for her birth that I'd like to do it again with this pregnancy.
  • Have a Girls Weekend With My Daughter 9 of 10
Have a Girls Weekend With My Daughter
It won't be long until I have to split up my time between two little girls. Spending a weekend with just my daughter and I doing things that only she wants to do sounds like a great way to value our last minutes of just the two of us. Image via Jenny Sherouse Photography
  • Have a Slumber Party With My Daughter and Husband 10 of 10

How fun would it be to have a big slumber party in your living room? I'd love to spend one night with popcorn, movies, games, and more and sleeping in our homemade forts with my family.

What would you put on our pre-baby “bucket list?”
