I love this stuff.
There are quite a few health and beauty products that I’ve missed during pregnancy:
-Dandruff shampoo. While not particularly glamorous, totally necessary. Why must pyrithione zinc be off-limits during pregnancy??
-Zit cream. Any of the natural alternatives I tried were total crap.
-Industrial strength nail polish remover. Acetone is also off-limits.]
-Nyquil. What I wouldn’t give for that “night time, stuffy head….best sleep you ever got with a cold medicine.”
BUT…in the interest of being optimistic, I’ve decided to share a couple of health and beauty products that I’ve discovered during pregnancy that I’ve becomes quite smitten with and that are actually good (i.e. I would use them regardless of my pregnant state).

What have your favorite pregnancy health and beauty products been?
Burt’s Bees Tinted Lip Balm
Lipstick is one of my favorite beauty products. Unfortunately, the good stuff is usually packed full of chemicals that you'll obviously end up ingesting throughout the day - all terrible during pregnancy...and probably just as terrible when you're not pregnant. This lip balm is great for adding a bit of color sans the chemicals.
The Spoiled Mama’s Dew Luxe Moisturizer
This is about as natural as it gets and it's great to slather on a growing belly right after getting out of the shower. Just be aware that if you have a pet they're probably going to want to lick your belly, because it will smell and taste so good. Don't say I didn't warn you.
This little bottle of spray is pure magic. My mid-wife said it's a safe sleep aid during pregnancy, although you should check with your care provider before using it. All I can say is that this after using it I consistently slept like a baby. Whether it's a placebo effect or not, I got sleep and isn't that what really matters in the end?
Butter Nail Polish
This nail polish is more expensive than any other I've ever used ($14 a pop!), but it's totally worth it. Not only is it free of toxins like formaldehyde, toluene, DBP and parabens, but it goes on perfectly. I'm terrible at painting my nails and these make it look like I had a professional manicure. I'm not over-exaggerating either. I would never recommend spending $14 on nail polish if it wasn't totally amazing, but this really is.
