It's impossible to know just how large your postpartum breasts will be, so it's best to hold off on a pricey nursing bra collection until your milk comes in. We picked a few favorites that are designed to grow and stretch to accommodate engorgement and the early breastfeeding weeks. Try not to make a serious investment until after your milk supply stabilizes - usually after 6 weeks. When you're ready to buy well-fitting, supportive nursing bras, we absolutely recommend getting a quality bra fitting at a local specialty store. Proper bra fitting is always important, but even more so now that too-tight bras can impair milk drainage and cause breast infections.
