Perhaps more than at any other time in history, today's expecting couples have access to unlimited information about what they're going though. But one time-honored way to process what's happening right now is to go right to the source: other mothers. Or, in this case, other soon-to-be-mothers.
Enter the pregnancy blog.
We were blown away by the incredible depth and range of discussion going on out there in the pregnancy and birthosphere: Sure there's the odd flame war, but there are just as many exchanges between pregnant women trying to make sense of their choices and experiences. We can get real information from the bloggers out there writing on everything from surviving bedrest to preparing for a VBAC to struggling with infertility and miscarriage.
Reading a post that touches on your own personal experience can do a lot to keep from you from feeling like a lunatic, or at least remind you that there are others out there who are just as crazy as you. Plus, these bloggers can be so damn funny, they make it hard not to laugh at their sorry situations - and maybe your own.
It was really tough to trim our list to 50 out of the huge range of pregnancy blogs out there - and hey, some of them are only "pregnancy blogs" for 40 weeks so catch them while you can - but that's where you come in. The Shape of a Mother
The Shape of a Mother is a space for women to dish on their postpartum bodies – and grow to accept them. It’s kind of like a collaborative blog where women vent frustrations or worries about their body issues – “Will anyone love this body again?” – and get feedback from fellow mamas in the same boat. It’s enormously popular, a virtual phenomenon. Why? Maybe because its tone is so open, brave, and supportive. The stories are also astonishingly diverse. You may read about an obese teen mom struggling to lose weight or an underweight 40-year-old mom coming to terms with her past eating disorder. The contributor list reads like a Dr. Seuss passage: Round moms, thin moms, jiggly-skinned, carrying-twins moms. Old moms, young moms, this-C-section-scar-is-no-fun moms. Their collective voice will make you feel less alone with your insecurities.


















Diets don’t work.You need a lifestyle chnage.Start by cutting out any crap (keep in a little to keep sane) and exercising.Don’t reduce calories because your baby needs it.Just chnage it up and eat more healthy so you both can benefit.
