Top 50 Pregnancy Essentials
When asked to compile a list of the 50 most essential items for pregnancy, I was about 39 weeks pregnant and ready to pop with my second baby. Having gone through two pregnancies pretty much back-to-back and feeling like I had been pregnant for two years straight, it wasn't too hard to compile this list simply because these are all items that were extremely useful to me. I hope they prove useful to you, as well. If I've left out an item that you loved or found to be essential during your pregnancy, make sure to tell us here. - Stevee Curtis42 / 50

Doppler fetal heart rate monitor

I’m not a super paranoid person, but there have been a few times when I’ve been a little concerned that my baby hasn’t been moving too much, and I have gotten my fetal Doppler out. Hearing his little heartbeat always puts my mind at ease and has saved me from calling my doctor freaking out. When I bought this with my first pregnancy, I took it with me to my doctor’s office, and she taught me how to use it. I highly recommend doing that. In times of panic, it helps to know what you’re looking for. Also, this is a great way to get the family involved in your pregnancy. My daughter loves to hear her little brother’s heartbeat, and it creates an opportunity to explain to her about the transition that is about to take place. I think letting her hear his little heartbeat helps her make a connection that there is a baby growing in her mommy’s belly.
