With the amount of premature babies being born annually in the United States being pretty darn high, it is really important to help bring awareness to the issue, as well as help fund research to figure out how we can lower this number.
This weekend while I was in the hospital recovering from a c-section about 5 hours earlier, I should have been at a March of Dimes walk-a-thon that I registered for with another local blogger in my area. Her son was born at 36 weeks, and we both feel it is really an important issue. Unfortunately our daughter had another plan and put a stop to my walk-a-thon plan.
Someplace else in the country, where a March of Dimes event was taking place, a group of pregnant women put together an amazing flash mob, full with a remixed song with new lyrics to get the crowd going. This event also highlighted the March of Dimes and all the amazing work they do!
To learn more about the March of Dimes, or how you could donate, you can visit their website… I hope you enjoy the flash mob as much as I did!
