7 Signs I'm Ready to Deliver This Baby

I have about two weeks of this pregnancy to go. Yowza. This is getting really real now, you guys.

I’m not sure how many pregnant women experience something similar, but my body goes through a few very specific changes during the last 2-3 weeks of pregnancy. With my first baby I was really freaked out by some of these changes but now, with my third pregnancy, I just know that means I’m almost done!

  • Swollen Feet 2 of 8

Typically when I take my sandals off you don't see the imprint of the straps on my feet. Except when I'm 9 months pregnant, that is.

  • Swollen Fingers 3 of 8

Ditto with my wedding rings. Tonight I was so swollen I had to pry them off my fat finger and it really hurt. It might be time to stop wearing them!

As I wrote earlier this week, apparently I'm now huge enough that when I'm out in public places I make people uncomfortable.

I'm having that overwhelming urge to pee and then I get to the toilet and it is the slowest trickle of pee ever, thanks to someone who is putting a whole lot of pressure on my bladder.

  • I Need ALL THE FOOD 6 of 8

My metabolism seems to have kicked into high gear this week and I'm hungry every two hours, if not every hour. At this point I will not turn down any food offered to me. Shovel it in!

  • The Midnight Snack is Back 7 of 8

Speaking of my metabolism, I am now officially eating a snack in the middle of the night. This happened at 37 weeks with my other pregnancies, too. I get up at 1 or 2 AM to pee and I'm so hungry I have to go eat an apple or have a bowl of cheerios.

  • I’m a Raging B 8 of 8

I'm just stressed out and physically fatigued enough that I'm having a hard time keeping my annoyance and frustration with other people in check. I'm having road rage. I'm snapping at my husband. And my poor kids are getting a lot more impatient Mommy-sighs these days.
