Finally, a celebrity that says giving birth ain’t easy. Seems like every celebrity loves pregnancy (Kate Hudson) or has an easy time giving birth.
Now, supermodel Miranda Kerr is admitting her labor pains were so bad she thought she might die.
When the supermodel gave birth at home to her son Flynn, she says the pain was so bad during her 27-hour labor that she had an out of body experience:
I actually thought I was going to die at one point and left my body. I was looking down on myself, the pain was so intense. I kept thinking, ‘How do women do this?’ But if other women have done this, I can do it too. I was determined.
Kerr has previously said she made husband, actor Orlando Bloom, stay with her throughout her entire labor, even making him pee in a bottle so he wouldn’t leave her side. Well, now we know why. Also, the couple’s son weighed in at a whopping nine pounds, 12 ounces. Nine pounds, no epidural? I cannot even begin to imagine.
But, Kerr says it was all worth it, of course, telling Australia’s In Style magazine, “We spent every minute together, morning and night, for those weeks before I went back to work. He sleeps in our bed every night.”
What about you? Was there ever a point during your labor that you thought you might die? I feel like a wuss even saying this but before I got my epidural, when I was in labor with my daughter, Violet, I thought the pain was so bad it might kill me, as in “Oh my God this hurts so bad I just want to die”, but I don’t think I ever really thought I would die. Did any of you really think you actually might die?
