The Surprise Pregnancy Symptom I Didn't Know Existed

Evidence of my favorite pregnancy symptom.

There are a lot of weird pregnancy symptoms that exist.  Lucky for me I haven’t really had to deal with most of them.  At 32 weeks pregnant I have been incredibly blessed.  I have yet to pee my pants, get heartburn, vomit, develop adult acne, get super constipated…or basically any other terrible pregnancy symptom you’ve ever heard of.  I’m not quite sure how I’ve managed to get through 32 weeks so unscathed, but I definitely can’t complain.

Now in my 8th month of pregnancy, I’ve actually developed a strange symptom.  So strange that I’d actually never heard of it before, but upon googling my suspicions I found that I wasn’t the only one to experience this odd side effect.

Find out what my surprise pregnancy symptom is after the jump!

And the surprise symptom is…

A lack of hair growth!

Yes.  You read that correctly.

When I first started researching weird pregnancy symptoms in my first trimester I remember freaking out about the potential of growing more hair.  Apparently it’s quite common to grow hair on your face, belly and basically anywhere else where it could possibly grow.

So, imagine my surprise when I realized that it had been almost two weeks since I last shaved (don’t judge – it’s winter and reaching my ankles in our teensy shower is becoming increasingly difficult) and I didn’t even need to!  Practically bare legs and arm pits?  Yes please!  Is this real life?  I might consider being pregnant forever if awesome symptoms like this are the norm.  Maybe I’ll even pass up Michelle Duggar’s 20 child mark.

Alright, maybe hair-free legs isn’t enticing enough to be perpetually pregnant, but it’s still pretty great.

Did you have any surprise pregnancy symptoms?  What were they?
