I wondered about this too because I didn’t have any swelling until the last few days of my pregnancy but I ate a ton of protein, drank at least a half gallon of water, swam or walked 2 miles every day, and rested whenever I was tired ( and went to bed early. It also helped with other swelling and over all mood and feelings too.
