Ten Modern Nurseries You'll Wish Were Yours

By Melanie Blodgett |

modern nursery I love the direction I see nurseries going this day. No longer feeling confined to the rules that a girl’s room should be pink and boy’s should be baby blue, parents are creating decidedly more modern rooms that are less babyish. These rooms are so well done, I want to take out the crib and put in my bed instead. Check out ten of my favorites below.

I like these rooms a lot. Good inspiration for our new place.

Can’t wait to see what your baby’s room looks like!

When we were expecting our first (over 6 years ago at this point!), we decided to paint the nursery a light, icy blue before we even found out if we were having a boy or a girl! When we found out we were having a girl, it was a little tricky to find blue girl stuff, but it’s out there. In fact, I love what we got her so much that I just bought two sets of twin bedding in the same fabric so that our girls can share a room that looks just like the nursery they both had. I hope they’re not sick of it yet; I’m obviously not!

The gray room with the gorgeous rug and black hot air balloon chandelier is awesome :) All of the rooms you shared had wonderful textures, mixed patterns, and rich colors. I hope and pray you’ll have a little one someday…I know the room you create for him or her will be nothing less than fantastic :)
