I’ve heard of doctors okaying some light exercise for a pregnant woman on bed rest but a wedding? One of the most notoriously stressful events in a woman’s life?
Doctors cut Jennifer Paddock some slack and allowed her a one hour off her prescribed bed rest so she could marry her baby daddy before he deploys.
Army Private 2nd Class Shawn Wentworth begins training for deployment today. The Louisville couple is expecting a baby boy in August so they decided to speed things up and got married yesterday.
Staff at Norton Suburban Hospital decorated the room for the wedding. “It’s a really exciting day a little overwhelming but, the hard part is over,” said Paddock after tying the knot.
The groom says he’s heading to training for a while and hopes he can come back to see his baby before he leaves. He deploys for Iraq in July.
“A little nervous more nervous about this than the deployment,” said Wentworth. “She’s real special to me. With the baby being here it’s my family and I’m a family man.”
What about you? Have you heard of any nutty things pregnant women on bed rest have accomplished?
