The Second Announcement in PregnancyMelanie Blodgett
Mark your calendars. On November 18th at 9:30 MST my husband and I get to hear the phrase, “It’s a (blank!),” from our doctor. Completed, of course. To say I’m anxious is an understatement. To say you should be really marking your calendars is a joke.
While the two most exciting announcements in pregnancy are probably we’re expecting and the baby is here — the gender reveal is that awesome little nugget that’s fun to anticipate since the excitement of telling the news and has calmed down and that helps you get through the midway point. I’m mostly excited to be able to head to Baby Gap afterwards and know what I’m looking for.
In recent years it seems like making a production out of the reveal has become a trend. Personally, I’m not sure I’ll have the patience to wait to bite into a cupcake or take pictures before it’s old news. But I do really like this balloon in box idea that I came across recently. Check out a few photos of different families joining in on the fun below.
What do you think, a creative reveal or Facebook it while the ultrasound gel is still being wiped away?
