I can’t even begin to tell you how much fun I’m having today! I kicked off the day with this adorable pregnancy announcement video, then discovered the awesomest pregnancy announcement video. Then the top baby names of 2012 were announced by the Social Security Administration, so I created a post for the Top 20 Baby Boy Names. And NOW I get to share the Top 20 Baby Girl Names of 2012.
Talk about a good day!
The biggest difference I noticed between the boy and girl names can be traced back to their meanings. SO many of the boy names are rooted in Biblical references, while the girl names all have very different meanings — with few having anything to do with the Bible.
There’s a reason these names are the most popular: They’re lovely. But I wonder if you, like me, are maybe getting a bit sick of hearing them? What do you think? Did your child’s name make the list? And does that bother you, or are you glad about its popularity?
