What a Difference a Year Makes

thank you cards It’s been almost exactly a year since we had our first visit with a fertility specialist. When I think back to that time what I most remember is how hard it was for both my husband and I. Not only were we experiencing the mid-winter slump, we were finally admitting to ourselves that there was a problem and Clomid wasn’t working. My husband was also dealing with the stress of preparing for and taking the Bar. Needless to say, it wasn’t the best February ever.

And now here I’m sitting with a rounded belly feeling the baby kick away and waiting for my husband to return home from his job as an attorney. To say I feel blessed is an understatement. I think some thank yous are in order.

Thank you Dr. Minjarez for guiding us through all of the tests and treatments and patiently answering our questions.

Thank you dear husband who held me while I cried and held my hand during every treatment.

Thank you Colorado Center for Reproductive Medicine for having friendly receptionists and a table of awesome magazines.

Thank you dear readers for the sweet comments of encouragement and for cheering us along.

Thank you family members who supported us along the way and let me cry to you over the phone.

Thank you Corrine for carefully administering the IUI that resulted in pregnancy.

Thank you sweet baby for joining our family at exactly the right time. We love you.

This is my last post on Being Pregnant but you can follow me at both The New Home Ec and Family Style. And I promise to post when baby boy arrives on You Are My Fave. Thank you for your support throughout this last eight months.
