What Was Your Favorite Kids' Book?

For my baby shower, all my friends brought a beloved childhood book for our baby’s library. I absolutely loved the concept because I’m a huge reader and want to expose my child to as many books as possible.

The book that ‘defined’ my childhood was definitely The Velveteen Rabbit. If you’ve never read it, try to without crying hysterically. It’s such a touching story and convinced me for years that all my toys were real and had feelings.

Here are some of the other books in my baby’s library:

  • Pat the Bunny
  • The Big Yellow School Bus
  • Everybody Poops
  • The Bernstein Bears
  • Goodnight Moon
  • The Hungry Caterpillar
  • One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish
  • Oh, The Place You Will Go
  • I Love You Forever
  • James and the Giant Peach
  • Paddington Bear
  • Matilda

What was your favorite book from your childhood?  What books are you buying your baby?
