My due date in my first pregnancy was December 27th. All I wanted for Christmas that year was to go into labor already! I didn’t get that wish. Instead, my husband bought me several sweet ornaments for our tree. Each year since then, I take them out when we trim the tree and fondly remember the last days before our son was born.
Last Christmas, I was about 14 weeks along with my second pregnancy. I finally had some energy back and I was able to enjoy favorite holiday activities like going to see outdoor light displays and decorating cookies with my son. My husband gave me a gift card to Sephora which was perfect – I was able to go pick out fantastic skin creams to combat the dry, itchy skin pregnancy in winter brings with it. Not only that, the shopping trip was an excuse for a girl’s afternoon with a friend!
