Babble Best Picks:
Strollers
One of the biggest purchases for your baby is the stroller, riddled with safety, style, and status issues - as well as affordability, of course, considering some strollers climb above the $1,000 mark. The choices and questions are seemingly endless: How do you accommodate your newborn without wasting money on a short-lived purchase? What are the features you absolutely need? Are luxury strollers really worth it? Can you find a good stroller in the $100 range?
To make your search easier, Babble assembled and test-drove over 30 of the newest strollers - from lightweight umbrella strollers to all-terrain joggers - to find the best of the best for every budget, geographic location, and age group. Did we miss one? Nominate your

BEST URBAN | Baby Jogger City Mini 2011
While any lightweight or umbrella stroller is ideal for an urban setting, bumpy, uneven sidewalks require a stroller that can handle rough terrain, and apartment living calls for a super-compact stroller that you can easily haul up five flights of stairs. When we first read reviews of the City Mini, we found the vast majority of users were unhappy that their baby slouched in the unsupportive seat. However, the new 2011 seat fixed the problem with a stronger back. Plus, the stroller is maneuverable, handles even the most broken up of sidewalks, and breaks down with one hand – seriously! Plus, it has a fantastic carrying strap for urbanites who regularly travel up and down subway or apartment steps. (We carried it on our shoulder without a problem.)
Note: If you have a large apartment with an elevator, you might want to consider investing in the Bugaboo Cameleon or BOB Revolution, which handles an urban environment with more bells and whistles. But if you live the typical hustle-and-bustle urban lifestyle, the 2011 Baby Jogger City Mini is it.

Very good info! We’re in the process of finding the BEST stroller ourselves for your our website. Thanks for the post!
THANK YOU for compiling this! I’ve tested a few of these…like the Phil + Teds, Bugaboo Cameleon, Mamas + Papas, etc…and I agree with this article on your choices and categories. I think I’m going with the P+T Smart…it looks so cool and ride real smooth. But so many great strollers! My friend has the Joovy Scooter and LOVES it, even though it’s very cheap. Thanks babble!
Sorry, I disagree with it being “the only stroller you’ll ever need to buy.” I tested one out when my daughter was two years old and she was already too tall to fit in it comfortably! She walks most of the time when we’re out and about, but there are times where she falls asleep in the car and I just put her into the stroller until she’s ready to wake up on her own. I would be pretty disappointed to spend $1000 on a stroller and not even be able to use it for two years.
I am looking for the best twins stroller. I have no idea what to get. Suggestions?
Yeah- what about twins and multiples? What is the best stroller for them? I have the Maclaren Twin Techno- and it works for us, but I’m curious to see what Babble comes up with.
any advice on stollers for twins? not for older and younger babies. TWINS. It is very difficult to get comparative info, or actually any info. Very frustrated… maybe just hormonal….

Bugaboo is indeed a great stroller, we even take it on the plane with no problem at all, my son is 30 months and still fits perfectly and he’s not a small boy, I would recommend it without a doubt
my best friend’s mom makes $77 an hour on the computer. She has been out of job for 9 months but last month her check was $7487 just working on the computer for a few hours. Read about it here CashBrave.com
I’m surprised to see the Chameleon get so highly recommended. Not that it isn’t a nice stroller, but it’s pretty well known that children outgrow this stroller in height long before weight is even an issue.
