BEST BACK CARRIER: HIKING | Kelty TC 3.0 Transit Child Carrier
For serious outdoor adventures, we haven’t found another carrier that comes close to Kelty. While we aren’t hiking experts by any means, we did test this through local trails and found it to be the most comfortable, useful back carrier with all the bells and whistles. It’s almost as lightweight as the Phil & Teds Metro, but with an incredible amount of storage, extra padded frame, and ventilation for long, sweaty hikes. The pack also comes with a sun (or rain) hood to protect little ones from the elements, as well as a changing pad and an impressive amount of organizational pockets. We really like the Kelty TC 3.0 because it’s small enough to use on an everyday basis, but real hiking enthusiasts might want to check out the Kelty FC 3.0, which is much larger, can hold more weight, and has a built-in kickstand.
