Babble Best Picks:
Diaper Disposal Units
Living with a baby can be exhausting, joyous, messy and sweet, but it will always - always - be smelly. That is unless you find an effective way to contain the diaper stink. Considering the average parent will battle the odor for one to three years per child, it's not a fun feat. We've been there. Luckily, they make a life-saving product: the diaper disposal unit. We took several of the newest models on the market and tested each for a minimum of two weeks on both a breastfed infant and a solid food-eating toddler. Our conclusion: Nothing will completely mask the smell of heavily soiled diapers piling up for weeks on end. Period. However, there are some really fabulous products out there to help.

BEST FOR BUSY PARENTS | Safety 1st Easy Saver Diaper Pail
This Safety 1st Easy Saver Diaper Pail is the same idea as the Safety 1st Simple Step, seeing that it’s an easy, one-handed design that doesn’t require any refillable diaper bags. Simply use a garbage or shopping bag to line the can, and the included deodorizer disc does its best to contain the odor.
Again, without a self-sealing feature like the Munchkin Arm & Hammer pail, odors will eventually leak out if the bag isn’t changed often. But we did find that this Safety 1st pail contained the smell better and longer than the more affordable Simple Step Diaper Pail. It also does a good job at sealing and containing the contents when the pail is closed, making it the most effective pail we tested with little maintenance. (Because, really, who has the time?)
