This is another really great umbrella stroller, especially for parents concerned about the lack of support some umbrella strollers have. The Maclaren Techno XLR has some of the best back support out of all umbrella strollers we tested, and it’s also quite roomy for such a lightweight design. Like all Maclarens, it rides beautifully, looks sleek, and is incredibly easy to use. We also love that the handlebar can be extended – rare among umbrella strollers – and the seat and footrest can be adjusted for your baby’s comfort. It can also be transformed into a travel system, which is a plus.
Like all umbrella strollers, the storage isn’t fantastic, but the hanging pockets help. And while it’s not the lightest umbrella stroller in the bunch (weighing around 17 pounds), it certainly has enough features to justify the purchase. However, for the price, you might want to consider a more accommodating lightweight stroller like the Phil & Teds Smart or Mamas & Papas Sola.
