Best for Little Riders | YBIKE Original
With a chunkier, lower-to-the-ground design than other balance bikes on the market, the YBIKE has enough stability to make toddlers feel secure but also enough instability to teach them balance and coordination skills needed for pedal bike riding. In fact, the YBIKE’s double back wheels make it the only two-wheel balance bike that can stand on its own without tipping over. And we’re not sure if it’s the bright colors or the toy-like look, but it was the first bike the young testers were drawn to, as well as the least intimidating and most comfortable to ride.
Although the chunky design isn’t quite as wobbly as other running bikes, YBIKE still claims to have kids as young as 3 years old riding regular pedal bikes (without training wheels or stabilizers). The only downside is that it doesn’t have an adjustable seat or handlebars to grow with children as other running bikes do. That being said, our 4-year-old tester still loved cruising around on her little YBIKE. Heck, it’s even fun for adults to take a spin.

I never would have thought to try a balance bike over a tricycle when introducing bike-riding. Nice picks!
I’ve seen balance bikes (http://www.stridermonkeys.com/) at a baby expo. The kids were just zipping around like crazy! I can’t wait until next year when Lil Man is old enough to have one.
