Babble Best Toys of 2012
The New York Toy Fair is one of the biggest toy conventions in the world, with everyone from toy giants (like Hasbro and Fisher-Price) to innovative start-up companies (like Begin Again and iBuKu) sharing their newest designs and imaginative ideas for kids toys. We were the envy of every child this week, sorting through hundreds of thousands of new products to find the very best toys of 2012. And we have to say it was an impressive year, filled with tech innovations, toys made of unique eco-materials, and a few brand new companies that deserve serious recognition. If we missed one of your favorite new toys of 2012, nominate it here! - Michelle Horton

My Friendship Bracelet Maker Traveler |
Choose Friendship Co.
Created by a retired Grandpa who saw his granddaughter’s frustration braiding friendship bracelets, these inventive bracelet makers exploded in popularity at the end of 2011 – and their 2012 addition is this traveler option (perfect for backpacks).
This travel friendship bracelet maker, combined with the brand’s anti-bullying campaign that encourages kids to : quite literally : “choose friendship” over bullying, is a great way to teach your kiddies the importance of tolerance and acceptance. You can check out a moving music video for their campaign and even buy the theme song on iTunes, Amazon, and Rhapsody – with all of the proceeds going to non-profit organizations that fight bullying.
