Kayak

When trying to book a flight and hotel online, parents really just need two things: the best price and the easiest way to find it. Kayak serves up both, fast, through a bone-simple, crazy-smart search tool that pulls info from hundreds of travel sites at once to help us find the best deal. But that’s not the only travel detail the app simplifies. Kayak’s Trips tool – which integrates with your free Kayak.com account – makes it easy to access your itinerary, lets you add notes about the trip, and even sends flight statuses to your phone so you can anticipate delays.

Excellent list! I’ve already tried using Instagram and Skype during my trips and I have to say that they are really great travel companions. Would definitely love to try the other travel apps recommended above ones the family goes out of the country again. I hope 25 things to do in Milan makes it on the list. Thanks for posting!
