Top 50 Design Blogs for Moms
Need fresh ideas to spruce up your kids' room? Looking for cool vintage finds for unusual birthday gifts? Can't find a one-of-a-kind birthday party theme? Welcome to Babble's list of the Top 50 Design Blogs, where you'll spend hours staring in amazement at all the eye candy that unlimited imagination can create.
For years, I would scour magazines looking for the best of the best in d'cor, fashion and lifestyle for kids. No wonder I'm a bit blog-obsessed. There's simply no better, more efficient or prettier way to score amazing finds than via mom-owned and mom-run Design Blogs.
As the co-founder of Mamaista.com, a blogger for Babble's Family Style blog, and a former magazine editor, I like to think I know a thing or two about what qualifies as good design. So when Babble.com asked me to pick a list of the top 50 design blogs, I was excited, to say the least. While it's hard to whittle the best 50 and rank them in order of fabulosity (and of course, we can't forget our own Family Style blog), I think this list gives you a taste of the amazing range. From small blogs out of New Zealand to huge award-winning blogs from the USA, these 50 Mom Design Blogs come out on top. - Elina Furman

The What’s What:
Stroller Traffic is a weekly email and website devoted to helping moms with kids ages 0-3. The daily scoop blog – with its amazing product and style roundups – has us wondering, “How do they find the greatest and latest stuff before everyone else does?” You can also sign up for city newsletter editions, including New York and newly-launched Los Angeles, to get the scoop on the coolest stuff in your zip code.
Former New York Magazine editor, Tara Mandy, brings a considerable amount of editorial savvy and know-how to the proceedings. Her keen eye for what makes moms’ lives easier and more stylish is spot-on, as are her choices of scouts, including the famous “baby gear guru” Jamie Grayson and celeb-mom-turned-fashion-designer, Ali Landry.
