Babble Best Picks:
Toddler Beds
Kid too big for the crib but not yet ready for a true "big kid" bed? That's where the toddler bed comes in. Often low to the ground with guard rails to prevent active young sleepers from falling out, toddler beds ease the transition from crib to twin for both you and your little one. And there are tons of options out there, from convertible toddler beds to character beds to super stylish beds.
We did a little something different for this Babble Best and asked a group of our amazing bloggers to test and review the products themselves. As moms, they knew the buzz around which beds were most worthy of testing, and we've highlighted their top picks here for you. Did we miss one that you love? Feel free to nominate it here. - Babble Editors
MOST STYLISH | The Oeuf Toddler Bed
The Oeuf brand has built a great reputation for making gorgeous children's furniture, and its toddler bed is no exception. Low to the ground, the bed makes it really simple for a young toddler to climb in and out while still having security rails on both sides to prevent your child from falling in the middle of the night. The bed's modern design is so sleek and stylish, it looks great any way you decorate the room - and assembly takes just 15 minutes!
BEST FOR YOUR BUDGET | Ikea Minnen
The convertible Ikea Minnen grows with your kid from a toddler to a twin bed; you can extend it once about 1.5 feet, then another time to reach full twin size, guaranteeing a good amount of years’ worth of use. So when you think about it, you’re getting two beds for the price of one – or, actually, even less than one, since the Minnen falls just short of $150!

Love how the Pkolino Toddler Bed can convert into a chair.
I know that Babble has to make money through advertising, but really? Do we need to buy another piece of furniture that will only get a few months use? Kill some more trees, burn some more oil shipping it, then add to the landfill? Sheesh! Put that money in your kid’s college fund, and put a crib or full size mattress directly on the floor.
I don’t get toddler beds if your crib converts great, otherwise buy a twin and some guard rails.
