10 Super Powers Every Husband Wished He Had

For us thirty-something-year-old men this is a great time when it comes to movies on the big screen. If you grew up watching super heroes on TV, many of your favorite childhood super heroes are now being featured on the big screen. And with some killer special effects!

Man of Steel (Superman), The Avengers, The Amazing Spider-Man, The Dark Knight Rises (Batman), Iron Man, and the list goes on. They all take you back to childhood and have you wishing you had super powers — back to imagining what you could do if you had those powers.

Super powers used for the good of your marriage

Well, if you are married you probably wish you had some of those super powers today. They’d be pretty useful in handling some of the issues you face as a husband.

I did some imagining day dreaming myself, and having some super powers would not only be cool, but pretty useful! It probably would take our marriage a few notches higher, and eliminate some problems.

If you had super powers what would they be? How would you use them to benefit your marriage. Here is my list of 10 super powers every husband wished he had.

  • Spidey Sense 2 of 11
Spiderman's spidey sense would be helpful in marriage - Babble Relationships - Jackie Bledsoe, Jr.

Think of those times you were blind sided by something. Your wife said something, or asked you something, that you were in no way prepared for, or expecting. What usually happens? You probably say something you wish you wouldn't have. Having a Spidey Sense would help you see it before it comes, and be better prepared.

  • Power (Wedding) Ring 3 of 11
Green Lantern's Power ring as your wedding ring...you'd be the best husband ever! - Babble.com - Jackie Bledsoe, Jr.

Think back to your wedding day. The day you slid on that wedding ring.  Now imagine, the ring you put on was Green Lantern's power ring! The ring that has no limits to its power. You could do and be anything your wife needed. And when drama comes you could easily protect yourself from it all.

  • Super Speed 4 of 11
Super speed would allow you to be in two places at once...needed in marriage. - Babble.com - Jackie Bledsoe, Jr.

You know exactly how it happens. There are less than five minutes left in this game, and it is a great game. And it just so happens your wife needs something from the store, and she's unable to leave right now. You have a choice. And you know the consequences to both choices. Super speed would come in real handy right here. Your wife would be happy, and you would miss only a second of the game.

  • Thor’s hammer 5 of 11
Sometimes in marriage the hammer has to be put down in some situations - Babble.com - Jackie Bledsoe, Jr.

If you've been married any length of time, try a week, you may have found yourself in some chaotic situations. Especially if you have kids. Sometimes you just have to put the hammer down.

  • Batman’s Utility Belt 6 of 11
Batman's utility belt could get you out of all kinds of sticky situations in marriage - Babble.com - Jackie Bledsoe, Jr.

As a husband you may find yourself in all kinds of situations. Most self-induced, and many that you can't get yourself out of without help. This is where Batman's utility belt would help.

I'm talking about the old school Batman utility belt. You know the one that had whatever was needed at that time. If Batman was in shark infested waters, he'd pull out his "shark repellent." Imagine saying, "if I could just get to my _________ on my utility belt," and your situation gets handled.

  • Fast healing ability 7 of 11
    Wolverine's Healing power - Babble.com - Jackie Bledsoe, Jr.

This is mainly to heal our male ego, which for some reason is at it's weakest around our wives. Our wives can build us up higher than anything, but if they say the wrong thing, we get weak immediately. Having a fast healing factor like Wolverine would allow us to take a lickin' and keep on tickin'.

  • Mind reading 8 of 11
The ability to mind read in marriage would be great - Babble.com - Jackie Bledsoe, Jr.

I admit, I don't always understand my wife. And I know I am not alone! Sometimes I wish I could read her mind. Things would flow a lot smoother. Imagine having Professor X's (Charles Xavier) ability to read minds. Your communication effectiveness would go through the roof! You could legitimately finish your wife's sentences without negative consequences. Well, maybe.

  • Invisibility 9 of 11
Invisibility would be a great escape on occasion in marriage. - Babble.com - Jackie Bledsoe, Jr.

Wouldn't it be just amazing if you could just disappear for a few moments. When the talk around you gets to sounding like Charlie Brown's teacher, and you just need that moment. Every married man could use this super power.

  • Super hearing 10 of 11
Super hearing is a must for married men - Babble.com - Jackie Bledsoe, Jr.

Husbands, this would make up for one of our greatest weaknesses, the ability to listen! For some of us, our wives always sound like Charlie Brown's teacher, but it has more to do with our ability to listen, than anything to do with our wives. Super hearing would allow us to pick up every audible sound. Now, what we do with it is totally different..

  • The power to smash, like Hulk 11 of 11
The power to smash some things in our way to a better marriage would be awesome! Babble.com - Jackie Bledsoe, Jr.

In the movie the Avengers when stuff got too deep they were holding onto the hope Hulk would show up and do what he does...smash! Sometimes our marriages need us to show up and just smash some stuff. The power to smash, get stuff done, and destroy anything in the way to a better marriage would be a huge benefit to our marriages!

Question: What super powers would be beneficial to your marriage?
