How Die-Hard Football Fans Say I Do (VIDEO)

By hismrshermr |

tailgate weddingFor some wives, football season is the worst season. For weeks, they have to venture out on Sunday afternoons solo and forgo their favorite Monday night television shows. Their husbands go hang out out with the guys tailgating and the cycle continues until the Rose Bowl and Super Bowl come to a close. And then, if you’re one of the lucky ones like I am, you married a Fantasy Football player too, which means countless hours will be devoted to winning the championship. But not a real championship — a fake or fantasy one. All of that, along with the possibility that they are also college football fans, then you are really in for quite a season (I promise I’m not bitter about football season).

But for a number of wives football season is not the enemy. It is a chance for them to bond with their husband, make friendly wagers and dress in their favorite sports jerseys. They watch the game, they understand the game, and like their husbands, they love the game. I wonder if they love it so much that if presented with the opportunity would they consider a football themed wedding. I mean, people get married and propose in all sorts of places and most often the most special weddings are a true representation of the bride and the groom. Take for instance two Louisville Cardinal fans that opted for a tailgate wedding compete with a Louisville-themed cake. Take a look at the video:

Perhaps this is the way to get your guy to walk down the aisle. It definitely beats making 300 sandwiches and he won’t have to forgo watching the big game. For more on this story visit The Huffington Post.
