One-Der Woman: How to Find an Excellent Divorce Attorney


Attorney 3CollageWho would have guessed I’d have a longer, more respectful, more hopeful, more supportive relationship with my divorce attorney than I did with my husband?

I do. Plus, she has way cuter shoes.

Although I am not a lawyer or qualified by education or certification to offer any kind of legal advice, I do have lots of experience in working with an attorney. I also was very thorough in researching, interviewing and finding an attorney that is the best fit for me — all at the insistence of a very bossy lawyer-friend who told me how I should approach connecting with the person who would be representing me (for what turns out to be YEARS).

Girlfriend to girlfriend, I am carrying on that same insistence that you do some digging, ask tough questions and remember that this relationship could outlast the one you had (or have) with your ex (or soon-to-be-ex). Here’s my best advice for finding an excellent attorney for you, your budget and your situation.
