There is pretty much no other time throughout the year that I will wear red and pink together, but on Valentine’s Day. During the first 2 weeks of February, it’s totally fair game, and is a fun and festive color combination. Sometimes wearing 2 bold colors, like pink and red, can be overwhelming and loud, and although there is certainly a time and place for that, there are also a lot of other ways to wear the colors more subtly while still being festive.

As I mentioned, bold pink and red is a fun statement for Valentine's Day, and a combo you probably won't try again for the rest of the year. So why not go all out? To keep my outfit from being too boring and too colorblocked, I chose a patterned top, and then added a necklace in a complimentary color.
